We have a national award winner!
We'd like to say a huge congratulations to Charlie Heaton (pictured here on the left) HGV Technician in our Preston Scania service team.
The IRTE held its annual meeting which included presentations on Electrical vehicles and alternative energies including CO2 targets, route restrictions and environmental factors. In addition the annual Northern IRTE Young Road Transport Engineers of the Year held its presentation.
Following communication between Neil Mitchell (IRTE) and Kenny Jones (Preston Scania) it was decided that Charlie a HGV Technician based at Preston Scania having recently completed his apprenticeship showed a strong work ethic with a commitment to his own development becoming a strong member of the Preston team.
In addition he has taken on the role of mentor to HGV apprentice Cade Marshall (pictured here on the right). This has seen a high level of progress from Cade who himself now takes the next step in becomming a HGV Technician in his own right.
We are pleased to say that Charlie won the competition and was announced as the Northern Young Road Transport Engineer of the Year. The development and recognition of our employees is important to us as we continue to build a strong future for the company.
This is a massive accomplishment that the entire team is incredibly proud of. Well done Charlie!
